Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is not practicing today. This is standard operating procedure for the Lions. Johnson has rested the first practice day of the week.

Fantasy owners have no reason to worry, he’ll be good to go on Sunday when the Lions take on the Green Bay Packers.

So far on the season, Calvin Johnson has 21 catches for 312 yards and 4 touchdowns. That applied over a full 16 game schedule has him pegged to catch 84 passes for 1,248 yards. A serious decline in production from his record-breaking season last year.

For comparison, through four games last year he caught 29 passes for 423 yards, but only 1 touchdown. He could rebound and get back on track though. From games 4 through 7 last year he caught 17 passes for 269. If he can have a few big games in the next three weeks he could be back on track with his production from last season.

Of course it would be ridiculous to expect him to put up those kind of numbers again, especially with a more balanced Lions offense.
