Don’t lose your minds just yet fellow Chicago Bears fans, this may not be as serious as we think.
During Sunday’s game, Brandon Marshall went up to bring down a pass from Jay Cutler and landed on it then limped to the sidelines when he stood up. He joined Charles Tillman on the sidelines as they sat out of practice, but their status for Sunday’s game right now shouldn’t be in jeopardy.
The good thing right now is that Alshon Jeffery is starting to come around. In four games this season, the second year receiver out of South Carolina has 200 receiving yards on 18 receptions with just one touchdown.
Jeffery is proving to be Cutler’s receiver to look for when Marshall is focused on by the defense. I mean either way Cutler still throws to Marshall, duh, but it’s still nice to know this team has another receiver who can be depended on. There are still some minor problems that need to be tweaked, like not finishing or running your correct route, which leads to miscue’s and turnovers.
Marshall has almost 350 yards receiving this season on 27 receptions with two touchdowns. He’s definitely going to be needed against New Orleans.
Charles Tillman, Brandon Marshall, Stephen Paea, Anthony Walters and DJ Williams not participating during open portion of practice. #Bears
