Champ Bailey will not play against the Dallas Cowboys

Sorry Denver Bronco’s fans, you guys are going to have to wait a little while longer for Champ Bailey to return to the starting lineup.

This Denver Broncos team is on pace to shatter all kinds of records this season. Peyton Manning already has 16 touchdowns with zero interceptions in just four weeks is on pace to pass for nearly 70 touchdowns by the end of the year.

This defense has had it’s moments with giving up big plays, but other than that they haven’t allowed teams to run all over them. Teams average around 74 rushing yards per game on this Broncos defense but have picked up 305 yards per game through the air.

Denver would probably like those numbers under that category to go down. Bailey hasn’t played a single snap during the regular season so Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been holding things down at the left corner-back position.

He’s still dealing with his foot, but should be back within the next couple of weeks. When he does come back and Cromartie goes back to his original position, this defense is going to be a different kind of monster that this league will not want to see.

You have to think that Bailey is itching to get back onto the field, but with Peyton Manning and this Broncos offense lighting teams up, it’s giving him extra time to make sure he’s 110% when he returns.
