Jon Beason arrives in New York to take his physical

I can’t help but think that New York Giants fans are excited about this trade.

Late last night the New York Giants and the Carolina Panthers got together about a possible trade between the two teams. Both squads just recently went head to head, so Carolina probably had an idea on who New York would be interested in acquiring.

Now with Beason landing in New York to take his physical, all he has to do is pass it to make this deal official. I’m guessing the Panthers would get some sort of draft pick in return, possibly a late round pick.

With Chase Blackburn holding it down in Carolina, Beason was unable to start over him so it made sense to go ahead and ship him elsewhere.

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera spoke to the media about the trade and the organizations Twitter posted the following Tweet.

Now what is to happen if Beason doesn’t  pass his physical? Well, he could very well be released but shouldn’t be a free agent for long. I don’t see why he wouldn’t be able to pass a physical, but there’s always that thought of ‘what if?’ and those are hard to avoid.

We’ll just have to wait and see how this physical turns out.
