It appears as though the Cincinnati Bengals will once again be without their top cornerback after Pro Bowler Leon Hall missed another practice today, and joining him in those not participating was Vontaze Burfict, the team’s leading tackler and by-far their best linebacker

Burfict leads the NFL in tackles with 42, and is one of the most important players on Bengals defense that currently ranks 11th in the league in rushing defense. He is expected to play Sunday, but likely won’t be at 100%, and given the amount of other injuries the Bengals are dealing with, that could be enough to cause what’s been one of the better rush-defenses to be exposed by the resurgent Patriots ground game will be key to getting a win Sunday.

That’s where his greatest strength is, and having him against a resurgent Patriots ground game will be key to getting a win Sunday.

The team is also dealing with the potential loss of their top pass-rusher, as defensive end Michael Johnson is recovering from a concussion suffered on Sunday. He’s one of the best run-defending DEs in the league, and if he’s unable to go, expect another big day from the Patriots running backs, whether it be Brandon Bolden, Steven Ridley or even LeGarrette Blunt.
