When New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley missed Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury, it was the first time this season that he’d been on the injury report. He is the Patriots’ leading rusher, with 174 yards. He rushed a team-high 11 times last Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons.
After missing Thursday’s practice, his availability of Sunday’s contest against the Cincinnati Bengals was hinging on his ability to practice today, which it doesn’t appear as though he was able to do:
RB Stevan Ridley not spotted at practice for third straight day. Puts availability for Sunday in doubt.

If Stevan Ridley doesn't play, almost certainly thrusts LeGarrette Blount into top RB role, w/ Brandon Bolden (knee/limited) as No. 2.

Three straight missed practices is almost always a sign that a player is being held out that week, and if he does miss Sunday’s game, Brandon Bolden suddenly becomes a very enticing player to watch in a crowded but banged-up Pats backfield.
