After watching the Hoyer injury over and over during last night’s game between the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills, I had no choice but to grab my own legs and cry myself to sleep.

No but seriously, that was a pretty nasty injury and I instantly knew there was something torn after being brought down like that. There was no way he walked away without any type of serious damage and sure enough, it was confirmed today that there was.

I’m sure somewhere in this country, Josh Freeman’s spidey senses began to tingle. With Hoyer stepping up and doing what he did for this team the last couple of weeks, it’s surely a big loss. This injury could possibly lead the Browns to signing free agent quarterback Josh Freeman.

Now I’m not saying the team is going out to sign him, but it wouldn’t but such a bad idea since no other team wants to take a chance with him. When Brandon Weeden entered the game, the entire stadium boo’d him but later turned into cheers after he stepped up and looked like the Weeden this city watched last season.

Since the Browns are down a quarterback, it leaves them with Jason Campbell to back up Weeden. If Weeden goes back to being 2013 Weeden, things could get ugly quick fast and in a hurry and that’s the last thing this team wants. They’re sitting on top of the division and have the talent to continue their winning ways.

I’m just saying, you don’t want to pull Weeden or lose him to another injury and have to settle with Campbell. He took over for Chicago a couple of games last season after Jay Cutler went down and look what happened to them.

I don’t know about anybody else, but they should really consider calling Freeman. Unless they have someone else in mind.
