The Baltimore Ravens have decided to part ways with wide receiver Brandon Stokley.

From the Baltimore Ravens website:

"The Ravens cut vested veteran wide receiver Brandon Stokley Saturday afternoon on the eve of their Week 5 game in Miami. The move to release Stokley is due to the Ravens’ wideout corps getting healthy and crowded."

Through three games Stokley was targeted 15 times, caught 9 passes for 79 yards. At the time of his release he was the 4th leading receiver for the Ravens.

Torrey Smith is having a good year and has caught 21 passes for 435 yards and a touchdown. Of course he’s been targeted 42 times. Tight end Dallas Clark has caught 16 passes for 175 yards and wide receiver Marlon Brown has caught 14 passes for 150 yards. Brown has caught three touchdown passes this season.
