The Kansas City Chiefs have improved to 5-0 and running back Jamaal Charles led the way again. Charles carried the ball 22 times for 108 yards and 1 touchdown, he also caught 5 passes for 37 yards. An impressive day for the back, even more impressive when we learned that he did it all with blisters on his feet.

“I soaked them this whole week, and I’ve got to continue to soak ’em,” Charles said, via Kansas City Star. “It’s a long season, we’ve got 11 more (games).”

The blisters were an issue last week as well. Even though they haven’t seemed to slow him down he is still ready for the blisters to heal and go away.

“These toes got to come on,” Charles said.

“I think (because of) the way I run and cut, that’s where the majority of the wear and tear on my feet come from,” Charles said. “I’m doing more stuff than I did last year … but I’m happy I’m doing more stuff and I can help my team win.”

“It hurts,” Charles said. “But (you know) what feels good? Walking when you’ve got a win.”

The Chiefs got to be feeling good. They’re off to an incredible start. Charles might want to consider soaking his feet more frequently than he did in the past week. They still have 4 games until their bye week.
