The Cincinnati Bengals had to work hard to hand the New England Patriots their first loss of the season. The game was a struggle for both teams to score points considering the weather played a factor in the result. Bengals QB Andy Dalton threw for 212 yards on completions with no touchdowns and one interception.

The only touch down for Cincinnati on offense was a 1-yard run by BenJarvus Green-Ellis and he finished with 61 yards rushing for the game. The other points came from a pair of field goals by Mike Nugent. The story of the game was the defense for Cincinnati that held New England to just 197 passing yards.

New England had issues moving the ball on offense the whole game with Tom Brady struggling to complete passes. He went 18-for-38 with 197 yards and one INT. They did see the return of Danny Amendola with him catching four passes for 55 yards.

The key play in the game was late in the fourth quarter when Adam “Pacman”Jones intercepted a pass by Brady and that sealed the game for the Bengals. Since Brady did not throw a touchdown in the game, that broke a streak of 52 consecutive games with at least one TD pass for him. He was second All-Time with that record.
