We see basketball players go into shooting slumps.

We see baseball players go into hitting or pitching slumps.

We see football players go in a variety of slumps, and Matt Schaub is in one of the worst you’ll ever see by one. He’s thrown interceptions that were returned for touchdowns in three straight games entering tonight, and no one would have been surprised if he’d throw another one tonight against a vaunted San Francisco 49ers defense.

But surely it wouldn’t be on the first play of the game, right?

Well…..He just threw one to Tramaine Brock, who took Schaub’s errant pass back to the house, 18 yards on the interception return TD.

And to add salt to the wound, that pick-6 set an all-time NFL record for the most in consecutive games, according to the Elias Sports Bureau:

The Texans currently trail the 49ers by a 7-0 score.
