Michael Vick injury update: Eagles QB likely out Week 6
By Josh Sanchez
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick left Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with a hamstring injury as back up Nick Foles took over under center and led the Eagles to their second win of the season.
While there is no official word on the injury until the team still needs to conduct an MRI to determine the full extent of the damage, Howard Eskin of FOX Philadelphia is reporting that Vick will likely miss the team’s Week 6 match up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
There is also a chance, likely based on pure speculation, that Vick could miss additional time.
Eskin writes:
This opens the door for Nick Foles to step up and show the Eagles and the entire league what he has to offer.
If Vick does indeed miss time, it will be interesting to see if Foles can elevate his play to a level where teams will come calling with significant trade offers or if he can even play well enough for the team to move forward with him and leave Vick on the bench.
Only time will tell.
