The Jacksonville Jaguars first round draft pick, offensive tackle Luke Joeckel, went down in Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. The injury was diagnosed as a high ankle fracture and it has ended his rookie season prematurely.

The injury wasn’t thought to be career-ending or career-threatening originally, which makes it kind of odd, and out of the blue, that Joeckel went out of his way to clarify it. It almost makes you wonder if the injury is more severe than we originally thought or were told and it was a little bit of a slip on his part.

On a side note, Joeckel is riding on of these weird scooter-like things that people with leg injuries often use. It is even equipped with hand brakes like a bicycle has.
