The Washington Redskins are among a handful of teams, say like the San Diego State Aztecs, Cleveland Indians or the Atlanta Braves who constantly find themselves fighting off suggestions that their team name and/or mascot is of the racist variety.

Whether or not they are, that’s a completely different discussion though the NFL has said they will sit down and talk about the Redskins moniker, which apparently can’t come soon enough for actress Olivia Wilde.

Wilde, who is engaged to former SNL star and actor Jason Sudeikis took to Twitter recently where she proclaimed her happiness that the Redskins, a team she grew up rooting for, had finally changed their name.

Only problem? Unless she knows something we don’t know, the Washington Redskins are still the Washington Redskins.

"Glad to hear my hometown DC has now decided to change the name of their football team, after I spent my childhood cheering a racial slur."
