Lionel Messi is arguably, and maybe clearly, the best soccer player on the planet. He has won four straight Ballon d’Or trophies, awarded to the world’s best player. So what does a man who is incredibly successful on the soccer field do to relax?

He probably goes home and hangs out like most people. And considering the amount of soccer in his life, he probably enjoys the escape from it. Not at all. Lionel Messi and designed by architect Luis de Garrido are building a house that looks like a soccer ball.

The house is still reportedly in the design phase, so it could change. I hope it doesn’t though cause it looks cool.

Aside from being round and looking like a soccer ball from above, the complex looks like a soccer field as well. The ball doubles as the circle at midfield. One half of the field is grass, the other half is an entire pool, a huge pool.

“I would say the most important symbol of the personality of Messi is the duality, determination and self-imposed, Messi is a person who has come from little more and had to be required himself, then the symbolism of your home is the duality ,” Luis de Garrido said, via Metro Cuadrado.
