It’s not easy being Matt Schaub these days. The Houston Texans quarterback has made some horrendous decisions this season and is near the top of the league in interceptions, but it is his NFL record of four straight games with an interception return for a touchdown that has really upset the team’s fan base.

By now we have all seen the Texans fan that idiotically spent $200 on a Schaub jersey at Reliant Stadium only to burn it in the parking lot, but now some fans are going a bit too far to voice their displeasure for the team’s starting quarterback.

According to CBS Houston radio host Fred Davis, there were two bone-headed fans that actually showed up at Schaub’s house to harass him.

One fan took pictures of Schaub’s family and posted them online, while another “told him off” for his poor play. Both fans were able to get away before the police arrived.

Schaub and the Texans contacted NFL security after the incident.

It’s a harsh reminder that some fans take things a bit too seriously and are very invested in their team. When the team struggles, the fans take it personally because of their emotional investment, but we all need to remember that this is just a game.
