Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant says he is ahead of rehab schedule
By Bryan Rose
He’ll be back on opening night, but then he won’t. He’ll be ready for the final two preseason games, but then he won’t. He’ll be out until December, but then he won’t.
Needless to say, the return time for Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has been sporadic. Even Bryant himself has seemingly been unsure of a return date, quietly foreshadowing potential dates of return, only to reverse course days later.
But now with the season tip just a few weeks away and Bryant back from knee treatment in Germany, he’s apparently feeling pretty good as the Black Mamba appeared on the Lakers broadcast Thursday night and said that he’s feeling as if he’s ahead of schedule in his rehab.
Per Mike Trudell:
"Kobe just joined us on the broadcast. Said this on rehab: “I feel very fortunate to be at this stage. I feel like I’m ahead of schedule.”"
Of course, what exactly that means is unknown. Bryant, given his near obsessive rehabilitation is by default ahead of schedule in comparison to just about anybody else, though the news coming out of Los Angeles seems to get more and more positive for Bryant and the Lakers by the day.
