The Red River Rivalry is upon us. On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners will duke it out in the annual showcase in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.

It is usually is a hot ticket, and over the past 13-14 years has often had national significance and an impact on the National Championship picture. This year Oklahoma comes into the match ranked 12th while the Texas Longhorns are unranked and carrying 2 losses as well. Mixed into the Longhorns season are rumors and reports about Mack Brown’s status with the school.

Oklahoma has blown out Texas in the last two games winning 55-17 and 63-21 respectively. Given the Longhorns season so far, and the turmoil in the athletic department, Texas fans look like they’re expecting another blow out loss and are unloading tickets on the Stub Hub website for dirt cheap.

Most of the tickets available in the upper deck of the end zone on the Texas end of the stadium (sections 114-120) are going for $85 to $168, there are two sets of tickets that are over $200 and they’re the only ones over the $168 price tag.

By comparison the same sections on the Oklahoma side (sections 136-142) are going from $136- $266, there is one ambitious seller who has some tickets listed at $314.

On the Oklahoma side in the lower end zone (sections 30-36) there are tickets available for sale from $150 to $485. The same sections on the Texas side (sections 12-18) have tickets listed from $99 to $275. Though three ambitious sellers have tickets listed at over $300 a ticket.

How about closer to the 50 yard line? Lower deck?

On the Texas side (sections 7, 8, 22, 23) tickets range from $200 to $893, though a single ticket is available for $99. The Oklahoma side (sections 4, 5, 25, 26) has tickets from $250 to $1,349.

There might be a lot of red on the Texas side this year.
