Without question, Chris Webber is one of the most memorable members of the Sacramento Kings’ organization. In his playing days, he was an All-Star caliber power forward that went about things the right way. While the Kings have an open invite to former center Vlade Divac to join the organization in a coaching or front office role, no such offer stands with Webber, even after Webber has mentioned a desire to get involved in an organization in some capacity.

Sacramento has recently brought soon-to-be Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal on as a part owner. More than likely, Shaq will serve as some sort of mentor to budding superstar DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins just signed a contract extension with the Kings, and despite his undeniable talent, has been unable to reach his potential to this point due to his poor demeanor at times.

Webber is less than ecstatic about Shaq doing the mentoring of his former team’s franchise big man, and some may ask why C-Webb was not offered the job. On a conference call with Turner Sports, the former big man offered his thoughts on the hiring.

"“Yeah, that’s something. I’ve talked to the ownership group and Shaq is my boy. So as a friend, I’m happy he’s an owner. As a King, it’s disgusting”"
