The Detroit Lions got a sliver of good news today. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson is at practice but in a very limited role according to the Detroit Free Press’ Dave Birkett. Johnson is wearing a brace on his right knee. Johnson took part in position drills but didn’t participate in skeleton offense.

There was a report from ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter earlier on Thursday. Johnson is still dealing with swelling in his knee, but he said he was unlikely to practice this week. Since we know now that he is actually practicing, that makes it more likely that he plays this sunday against Green Bay. It certainly isn’t a guarantee that he will play and if he is on your fantasy pay attention to his status.
