Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson hasn’t been practicing as he recovers from a knee injury. Johnson is considered to be a game time decision, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Lions need Calvin Johnson back, they’ve also lost wide receiver Nate Burleson earlier this season to an injury he suffered in a car wreck while trying to save a pizza. Burleson at one point in time, was leading the Lions in receptions.

Johnson sat out last week’s loss to the Green Bay Packers and the offense struggled and only managed to score 9 points in his absence. Johnson has 21 catches for a team leading 312 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

In that loss to the Packers, quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 25 of 40 passes for 262 yards and one touchdown. No one on the Lions team had more than 4 catches, or 60 yards receiving. The team’s top 3 receivers in that game were two tight ends and a running back.

They need Johnson back, especially playing a tough Cleveland Browns defense.
