The Chicago Bears handed the New York Giants their sixth loss of the season on Thursday Night Football but it was a close game. And when games are close and teammates make miscues, there some time is anger within a team.

That is exactly what happened with about 5 minutes before half time. New York Giants Jerrel Jernigan returned a kick off for 46 yards. That is when kick returner Devin Hester challenged Gould and an unpleasant exchange of words began. After the game, Gould downplayed the spat.

“I love Devin like a little brother,” Gould said, via ESPN.com. “It was just (that) my emotions got in the way. I was at fault. I was the wrong party in that. I love him like a brother. Once it was over, it was over. …We both want to win. I don’t want to put my teammates in a situation where I hit a [bad] kickoff like I did. There are no hard feelings. It’s like a fight with your little brother.”

Props for Gould taking responsibility and claiming the blame for it.
