Well, here’s some more bad news for this Chicago Bears defense as the team fears that linebacker D.J. Williams have have a season ending injury.

According to ESPN Chicago, the injury is a possible torn pectoral muscle after he tried tackling running back Brandon Jacobs. Jacobs is a big man and having him run down hill the way he does, I’m surprised he didn’t break Williams clean in half. Last night Jacobs meant serious business.

Now this will be a key loss for this defense as they have already lost two defensive tackles, a corner-back and now possibly Williams.

With Williams out, this will open the door for rookie inside linebacker Jon Bostic who stepped up last night and cleaned up some tackles during last nights game. Bostic had an excellent pre-season and was thought to be the starting middle linebacker since Williams was out for awhile.

Well it may not be all that bad, does anybody remember that Bostic hit that was heard around the world? Now we get to see what this kid can do when it actually counts and he’s the starter.

Time to rise Bostic! Time to rise…
