After suffering a left foot injury in the preseason, Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey has missed the first five weeks of the season.

He won’t miss a sixth as it’s being reported that Bailey will take part in the Broncos game against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday.

Per Lindsay Jones:

"So the #Broncos will get Champ Bailey back this week. But they likely won’t have Wesley Woodyard. Someday, they’ll have all their starters."

While Bailey will take the field, it’s very likely he’ll be on a restricted snap count so how much he’ll actually play is unknown. Add in the fact that Denver shouldn’t have too much trouble with the Jaguars, it’s likely Bailey will be taken out of the game relatively early assuming the Broncos take a large lead.

It’s expected that Bailey, despite it being his first game back, will matchup with Jacksonville wideout Justin Blackmon, who returned for his first action of the season in Week 5.

Barring any setbacks, Bailey should be ready to go full-time come Week 7.
