When the Denver Broncos travel to Lucas Oil Stadium to take on the Indianapolis Colts, the team will have a very special tribute in store for longtime quarterback Peyton Manning, who parted ways with the team just two seasons ago.

If owner Jim Irsay is to be believed, the tribute will be touching and leave everyone feeling great about Peyton’s time with the Colts.

We’re going to have a great tribute to him,” Irsay said, via  USA Today. “It’s going to be something where you go into it wanting to have a lot of fun, where you love Peyton as a Colt fan, but now we’re competing against him.

“It’ll be tremendous. They will cheer, as deserved. When he comes back on the field, I think there will be a boisterous standing ovation, as there should be. He means so much to our franchise. It’s going to be crazy, but mostly it’ll be fun. I hope it’s just a great game.”

It is going to be a very special and emotional moment for Peyton and the Colts ownership, but once opening kickoff takes place, it will be strictly business.
