Former Steeler Willie Colon says the Steelers are a desperate team

Tomorrow’s game is a must win for this winless Pittsburgh Steelers team.

New York Jets starting rookie quarterback Geno Smith is coming off a huge win against the leagues top NFC team from last season, the Atlanta Falcons. So far this Jets team looks to be improving, which is something positive we could say unlike last season’s team.

Now former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive guard is prepared to face his former team for the first time this season.  Willie Colon, who spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Steelers was released in March on the 13th and signed with the Jets on the 15th.

In a recent interview with the media, Colon spoke about this winless Steelers team:

"“I see a desperate team and I see that team, coming off a bye week, they’re kind of like, ‘All right, we’ve laid an egg. Let’s start our season again.’ Knowing how thsoe guys think, they’re going to be ready to go.” Colon told CBS New York."

Rookie Geno Smith was picked as the AFC offensive player of the week for the first time in his young career after throwing three touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons. Did I mention he didn’t turn the ball over once in that game? Hard to believe against a veteran defense like Atlanta’s, but it actually happened.

This game is set to be a good one.
