After getting a rude welcoming to the ACC last week at home against the Clemson Tigers, the Syracuse Orange will take their 2-3 record on the road to Raleigh, NC to take on the 3-2 North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Syracuse got off to a slow start to the season, falling to 0-2, before head coach Scott Shafer made the change at QB from Oklahoma transfer Drew Allen to sophomore Terrel Hunt. But last week, we quickly found out that it’s going to take some time before Hunt gets his name up there with the other signal callers in the upper echelon of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

N.C. State, under first-year head coach Dave Doeren has had an up-and-down road so far. A few weeks ago on a Thursday evening, they nearly had third-ranked Clemson beaten in the same stadium they’ll be playing in today, which showed us that progression the coach had made so far. Well, or so we thought, as they suffered an unexpected loss last week to Wake Forest.

Odds: North Carolina State -7

Prediction: There are two teams on the field today inside of Carter-Finley Stadium that are still trying to find themselves. Both programs are still transitioning under new head coaches and are going to have more bumps in the road than they’ve already seen so far.

But as far as these two together on the field,  I can see a bounce back game from Terrel Hunt today. He’ll be able to find a few more holes in that NC State secondary than he was able to against Clemson.
