Just two days after the death of his 2-year-old son, Adrian Peterson is active for the Vikings’ game against the Carolina Panthers. It ‘s been a tough couple of days for him and his family, as well as fans and players across the league.

Everyone has come together this weekend to support AP during these tough times, and it’s been very appreciative. All the support seems to be fueling Peterson as he gets ready to face off against the Panthers’ 3rd best defense in the NFL.

There was no doubt that Peterson would play, based on the fact that he told media “I’ll be playing on Sunday.” It’s just good to hear the official words that Peterson will be starting behind Matt Cassel today.

According to ESPN,

"Joseph Patterson, 27, was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery in the child’s death. He had a court appearance Friday and was ordered held on $750,000 cash bond."

It is safe to keep Peterson in your fantasy lineups today, for those of you who were unsure over the course of the weekend. The Minnesota Vikings will need Peterson to help the team get back on the right track with another win. They are coming off a bye week and are currently sitting at a 1-3 record.
