New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib has been a key contributor for the team’s defensive unit throughout the first few weeks of the season, but it looks like his day could be over thanks to a nagging leg injury.

Talib initially looked to be injured when the Patriots gave up a field goal to the New Orleans Saints, but Talib returned to the game and attempted to give it another shot.

Unfortunately for Talib, his leg was unable to hold up and he once again limped to the sideline to be attended to by the medical staff before heading to the locker room.

Without Talib in the line up, things open up for Drew Brees and company.

The Saints have pulled even with the Patriots midway through the third quarter and they will have a chance to take over the lead and continue their winning streak to start the season.

We will update you with more information as it becomes available.
