The Jacksonville Jaguars were able to defy all odds and pull within two points of the Denver Broncos at halftime, thanks to a pick-six from linebacker Paul Posluszny, but their offense has taken a big hit with some updated injury news.

Wide receiver Cecil Shorts III suffered a shoulder injury during the first half, and it looks like the game could force the receiver to miss multiple weeks. Of course, we won’t know officially until the team gives an official update on the severity of Shorts’ injury.

In the meantime, we have learned that Shorts has been ruled out for the remainder of the game with a shoulder sprain, which could mean a slight separation.

Without Shorts in the line up, the team will need to rely heavily on recently reinstated wide receiver Justin Blackmon to come up big and help the Jaguars keep pace with the Broncos.

If not, that 28-point spread that the Broncos opened with could still be covered.
