Matt Schaub has been historically awful over the past month of the season and that could lead to him finding a home on the bench. On NFL GameDay Morning on the NFL Network, it was reported that the Houston Texans will be keeping Schaub on a very short leash and that he could be benched permanently if his struggles continue.

Not only will Schaub be benched moving forward if he struggles, but he could be pulled during the game in favor of T.J. Yates if he continues to hurt his team.

Schaub’s four straight games with an interception being returned for a touchdown is an NFL record, and if he continues that streak against the St. Louis Rams, who are led by Jeff Fisher, a coach very familiar with Schaub from his time as head coach of the division rival Tennessee Titans.

You would hate to see Schaub go out and put up another stinker, especially since so many fans in Houston know where he lives, so we will have to wait and see if he is up to the challenge of turning his season around.
