Three weeks ago, Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles started getting blisters on his feet. Today, he’s getting “extensive” treatment for them before their game against the Oakland Raiders.

The team’s trainer, Rick Burkholder is treating the star running back like he’s suffering from something else. According to ESPN,

"Burkholder has treated Charles like a burn victim, using burn dressings and covers on his feet and toes.Charles also is wearing socks that many marathoners and triathletes wear to fight friction and reduce moisture."

It seems as though the injury is worse than expected, however that isn’t stopping Charles.

"Despite playing with pain and not being able to cut with his usual crispness, Charles had maintained production over the past two games, gaining 272 yards from scrimmage and scoring two touchdowns over that stretch."

It is still a good idea to keep Charles active on your fantasy rosters, just don’t be disappointed if he doesn’t get his usual 20+ points this week. He might be seeing limited carries. The last thing the Chiefs want is for their star running back (and top receiver) to go down for a sustained period with an infection on his feet.  The Chiefs are currently 5-0 and sit atop the AFC West with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
