The New York Jets watched running back Mike Goodson go down with a potentially serious knee injury during their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, and it looks like the team could lose Goodson for a significant amount of time.

From Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News:

Without Goodson in the line up, the Jets will need to rely heavily on Bilal Powell and Chris Ivory to carry the load.

You can never have too many running backs in your line up, but the duo of Powell and Ivory lacks any real dynamic threat out of the backfield. Goodson provided the speed and pop to the line up that the team currently lacked and it looks like they won’t have any home run threat to go with Geno Smith and the passing attack.

We should know more about Goodson’s injury on Monday once further testing is complete.
