Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: Chiefs win 24-7
By Mike Dyce
The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs welcomed their divisional rivals, the Oakland Raiders, into Arrowhead Stadium today. The Chiefs came into this game as the favorites to walk away with a win but like all rivalry games, anything can happen.
The Raiders were the first team to get on the board early in the second quarter. Terrelle Pryor threw a short pass to Denarius Moore for a 39 yard touchdown.
As the half was winding down the Chiefs were able to get on the board and get some momentum heading into the half. Jamaal Charles carried the ball into the end zone on a 7 yard run to tie the game.
The second half was all Chiefs for the most part, as the third quarter was winding down, Jamaal Charles scored on a two yard run to give the Chiefs their first lead of the game.
It looked like the Chiefs were going to squeak by the Raiders until late in the game. With a little over two minutes left in the game the Chiefs kicked a field goal to extend the lead to 10 points.
With less than two minutes left on the clock, Pryor led the Raiders onto to the field. Pryor’s fourth pass of the drive was intercepted by safety Husain Abdullah and returned 44 yards for a touchdown.
That touchdown pretty much ended the game for the Raiders and the Chiefs improved to 6-0.
