Raiders’ Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings to play on Sunday
By Mike Dyce
The Oakland Raiders got some get news ahead of Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Running backs Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings will both be playing today.
McFadden and Jennings both were dealing with hamstring issues.
The Raiders leading rusher at the moment is quarterback Terrelle Pryor with 229 yards on 37 carries. Darren McFadden has 53 carries for 215 yards while Rashad Jennings has 30 carries for 120 yards.
They’re playing the Chiefs who aren’t strong against the run. They’ve given up 115 yards a game on the ground, a mark that is 21st in the NFL. They’ve also been allowing 5.3 yards per carry, the Raiders could have a big day rushing.
Unfortunately starting McFadden, or Jennings, on your fantasy team might not be a wise idea. Despite them playing, they could go with a committee approach to avoid overworking McFadden. If the Raiders get behind early to the Chiefs they could focus more on the pass as they try to play keep up as well.
