Buffalo Bills quarterback Thad Lewis, who was recently promoted to the active 53-man roster, put on a very respectable performance in his start against the Cincinnati Bengals. Unfortunately for the Bills fans and Lewis, they ultimately lost to the Bengals in overtime.

After the game, Lewis seemed to be dealing with some injuries of his own and he was even spotted in a walking boot following the loss.

Lewis was limping around the field in the second half and he was injured to the point that he needed to undergo x-rays after the game came to an end.

Considering the injuries to E.J. Manuel and Jeff Tuel, the Bills can ill afford to have Lewis miss multiple games or they may end up with a guy bagging groceries as the starter next week.

Buffalo travels to visit the Miami Dolphins in Week 7, so Lewis will have plenty of time to recover and see if he can give it a go next week if the team calls his number.
