The Dallas Cowboys are looking to bounce back after a heartbreaking and emotional loss to the Washington Redskins. They got the ball to start the second half and got underway when Tony Romo had to stop and tie his shoe.
So why weren’t his shoes tied before this point in the game? Isn’t 40 seconds in a little to early for someone to need to stop and tie your shoes?
Nevertheless I’m glad Romo caught it and tied his shoes, better safe than sorry. Wouldn’t want him to trip and fall.
The Cowboys marched down the field and scored to get an early lead against the Redskins. Running back DeMacro Murray ran the ball four yards into the end zone. It was a pretty efficient opening drive for the Cowboys.
On the following drive the Redskins marched down field and got a field goal back. The Cowboys could be headed towards another shootout in this Sunday Night game.
At the end of the first quarter Romo has completed 7 of 8 passes for 67 yards and has a quarterback rating of 101.5 so far.
