The Dallas Cowboys suffered an injury in the offensive backfield that could change who their starting running back is for their Week 7 match up against the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles.

Starting running back DeMarco Murray went down with a knee injury that is being called a left MCL sprain, but he will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of his injury and his status for next weekend’s game.

If Murray is unable to go, rookie running back Joseph Randle could get the start.

As far as Bryan Broaddus of the Dallas Cowboys official website is concerned, Randle is expected to be the man that gets the call.

The Cowboys were high on Randle’s playmaking ability coming out of Oklahoma State, so they may finally get a chance to see just what he can offer the offense next week in a big game that will determine the NFC East leader.
