The Dallas Cowboys rolled over the Washington Redskins on Sunday night to keep their share of the lead in the NFC East, but it didn’t come without a cost. Running back DeMarco Murray and defensive end DeMarcus Ware left the game in the first half with injuries and were unable to return.

We are still awaiting word on Ware’s injured quad, but an update has been provided regarding the status of the team’s top rusher.

Murray is set to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of Murray’s left knee injury, but the early diagnosis is that the running back has suffered a sprained MCL.

The injury could hold Murray out for next weekend’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but we will need to wait and see how the MRI results come back and whether or not he is limited in practice before judging if he will be able to play.

The Cowboys would love to have Murray on the field, so we will have to wait and see how it all plays out over the next few days.
