The Dallas Cowboys had a big win against the division rival Washington Redskins on Sunday Night Football, but two of their key players are set to undergo further evaluations on their injuries suffered in the first half of last night’s game.

On Monday, running back DeMarco Murray (sprained MCL) and defensive end DeMarcus Ware are both preparing to have MRIs to determine the full extent of their injuries.

Both players suffered the injuries during the first half of last night’s game and were unable to return.

For Ware, the early diagnosis was a strained quad, so we will have to see if the MRI machine uncovers any additional damage and if it could affect his status for next week’s big game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ware is obviously a crucial member of the Cowboys defense and they rely heavily on him to get pressure on the opposing quarterback, so they will be holding their breath that the MRI results don’t bring back anything that they don’t want to see.
