The Dallas Cowboys have been struggling with injuries along their defensive line all season long. At least they had DeMarcus Ware though, until he left Sunday’s win with a quad injury. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that DeMarcus Ware could be out 3-4 weeks while recovering.

There was even speculation that the Cowboys might target a return in week 12, after their bye week. FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer said he had conflicting information. On his Twitter account Glazer said:

"“Demarcus Ware I’m hearing 3-4 weeks could be little longer than he’s actually going to miss. they’ll b conservative w him but think 1-2 wks”"

That is good news for the Cowboys. They’re already struggling against the pass and losing their primary pass rusher would be a major hit. The Cowboys have been giving up 308.2 yards per game. Surprisingly DeMarcus Ware isn’t leading the Cowboys in sacks. That honor goes to defensive tackle Jason Hatcher. His two sacks against the Redskins on Sunday night helped him pass Ware’s season total.

Ware has never missed a game though, and might not be willing to sit out. Especially considering that it is a game against the Cowboys rival the Philadelphia Eagles and that they’re tied for first place in the NFC East.

“I’m good,” said Ware, via the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram.

The Cowboys though will try to be cautious with Ware and might hold him out to prevent him from hurting himself further. They can’t afford for this minor injury to turn into a serious one.
