Mike Goodson to undergo MRI; knee injury could be serious
By Josh Sanchez
During Sunday afternoon’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets running back Mike Goodson went down with a knee injury that could force him to miss significant time this season. There is no official word on the severity of the injury, but Goodson is set to undergo an MRI on Monday and the belief is that it could be a serious knee injury.
According to a source that spoke with Kieran Darcy of ESPNNewYork.com, the injury that was suffered late in the game could be serious and keep Goodson out of action for a significant amount of time.
From offseason arrests to a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy to a potentially serious knee injury, it is safe to say that the Jets are not getting out of Goodson what they expected he could provide when they gave him a three-year, $6.9 million contract at the beginning of free agency.
We will have to wait and see how the results come back.
