The New Orleans Saints offense took a hit when tight end Jimmy Graham went down with an injury in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. Graham has been the Saints leading receiver this year with 37 receptions for 593 yards and six touchdowns this season.

The injury is to his foot, and Graham had an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury. Initially they thought that the injury could keep him out for multiple weeks.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen tweeted:

"“Saints TE Jimmy Graham is still having left foot evaluated but sense of optimism he will return after this week’s bye.”"

That must mean that the MRI came back negative if Graham is considering returning after the bye week.It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. After being injured, Graham returned to the game. Of course he later left the game for good, which could’ve been more precautionary than anything.

That is good news for Graham who is in a contract year. It is also good news for all his fantasy owners, but you might want to keep an eye on the situation before just plugging him back into the line up in Week 8. If he does play it is a favorable match up.
