The Dallas Cowboys lost running back DeMarco Murray to a knee injury and defensive end DeMarcus Ware to a quad injury on Sunday night during their win against the Washington Redskins, which will make both players unavailable for their big game this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ware is expected to miss up to a month, but the star pass rusher believes that he will be able to return sooner rather than later.

“My body recovers really fast,” Ware said, via ESPN. “I’m not going to be out that long.

“It wouldn’t be 100 percent if I had to go out and play right now. There wouldn’t be a point to this day. If I had to play, I wouldn’t. I couldn’t get off the ball.”

The Cowboys will obviously hope that Ware’s timetable for his return is closer to reality than what the doctors had originally determined, but you have to be cautious with a quadriceps injury to ensure it doesn’t become an issue later down the line.
