Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson missed Week 5 and played in Week 6 in a limited role as he deals with a nagging knee injury, but the star wideout seems to be headed towards full action in Week 7 after suiting up for practice on Wednesday.

From Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press:

Johnson isn’t normally seen on the practice field on Wednesday’s so the fact that he was getting in some work shows he is working back to full strength, which will provide a major boost to the team’s offense when they face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

Megatron is a key part of the offense and can open things up for the rest of Matthew Stafford’s targets, which was on display last week even as he was being used as mostly a decoy.

The ability to have him back at full strength this week gives the Lions a much better chance at knocking off the Bengals and keeping pace in the NFC North.
