Jarvis Jones has quietly been one of the most important players on the defensive side of the ball for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the team could be without him for a key game on Sunday against the division rival Baltimore Ravens.

In a move that came out of nowhere it seems, Jones missed Wednesday’s practice session with what was listed as a head injury.

Prior to being listed on the injury report, there were no signs or hints that Jones was suffering from an injury of any kind let alone a head injury, so this will be something to keep a close eye on.

It is possible that Jones suffered a concussion without anyone knowing, but that would mean that he needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist before he is able to return to the practice field and eventually the field.

Jones may not be racking up the stats so far, but he has been able to get plenty of quarterback pressures and ensure that offenses and opposing quarterbacks must alter their throws.

We should learn more on whether or not Jones will be available in a few days.
