This Jacksonville Jaguars team really surprised not only me but the rest of the league after the first half they had against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

But of course, Peyton being Peyton, the Broncos pulled away and made sure the team would remain undefeated. The Jaguars didn’t look all that bad so maybe if they can find a way to play the rest of the year like they did in the first half of this game they’ll do just fine.

They received some good news today as big man tight end Marcedes Lewis returned to practice for the first time since Week 4. Lewis has only been active for one game this season due to a calf injury.

Right now Lewis is on track to returning to the Jaguars offense and playing against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. Which would become a battle of strong tight ends with Antonio Gates on one side and Marcedes Lewis on the other.

Now with Lewis returning to the practice field in hopes of starting on Sunday, wide receiver Ace Sanders sat out. Sanders played 90 percent of the game against the Broncos but suffered a concussion.

The diagnosis wasn’t made until after the game, so he’ll more than likely miss this weekends showdown against the Bolts.
