Michigan releases 2018, 2019 football schedules
By Mike Dyce
The University of Michigan football team released their Big 10 schedule today for the 2018 and 2019 season. In 2018 the Wolverines host 5 conference games and play 4 on the road, it is the opposite in the 2019 season.
Michigan has previously announced two-game series with Arkansas in 2018-19, each team getting a home game. Michigan will host the first of those games, and travel for the second game.
In both seasons the uneven home and away games are weighted at the front of the schedule. In 2018, Michigan hosts the opener against Wisconsin before traveling to Nortwestern. It then hosts back-to-back home games before traveling and finishing the season alternating home and away games.
The same is true in 2019, they’ll open at Wisconsin, then go home against Iowa. Then it is back-to-back away games before alternating home-and-away games the rest of the season.
Of course there are open spots that could be filled and change that pattern, but it’s true with in conference play.
Of course the Michigan State and Ohio State games are the most anticipated patch ups on the schedule.
