Oklahoma WR Trey Metoyer suspended for indecent exposure charges

Oklahoma wide receiver Trey Metoyer has been suspended from the team following two felony counts of indecent exposure, according to RJ Young of SoonerScoop.com. Metoyer is presently not with the Oklahoma football team and hasn’t been with the team for some while according to head coach Bob Stoops.

“Trey has not been with us since prior to the TCU game and at this time I do not anticipate that he will return to the team in the future,” Stoops said.

According to SoonerScoop, there were two different incidents of exposure with two different victims. The first incident took place in late August.

“The victim advised she was on a balcony smoking a cigarette when she observed the black male driving through the parking lot ? in a red Grand Am,” states the affidavit of the Aug. 29 incident. “The black male backed up and pulled into a parking spot. The victim noticed a short time later that the black male had his (genitals) exposed while sitting in the car (performing a lewd act).”

The second incident took place a little over two weeks later in mid-September.

“It was learned that the victim was walking her dog when she was approached by a black male who asked her if he could borrow a pen,” states the affidavit of the Sept. 17 incident. “The victim went into her apartment to get an ink pen and when she came back outside, the black male was (performing a lewd act) in front of her apartment. The black male then asked the victim if she would want the pen back.”

The second victim identified Metoyer when she picked him out of a line-up.

Metoyer hadn’t been a huge part of the Oklahoma offense this season, in four games he has caught two passes for 18 yards and a touchdown. Earlier in the season Metoyer was removed, likely when the team learned of the pending charges.

“He’s going through some things right now,” said Jay Norvell on Oct. 1. “He’s trying to get his hands around it. And so we just wish him the best as he works his way through that.”

He didn’t play the following week and was Norvell expanded.

“He’s taking a little break from football.” he said Oct. 8.

It is unlikely he will return to the team this season after Stoops said he had been suspended indefinitely.
