New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola and cornerback Aqib Talib were not at practice today, according to ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss. Defensive tackle Tommy Kelly, running back Leon Washington and guard Dan Connolly were also not at practice today.

Amendola suffered a concussion in a hit from New Orleans Saints Rafael Bush on Sunday. It was a scary play and Amendola seemed to go limp as he laid motionless on the ground briefly. It his highly doubtful that Amendola would get medical clearance ahead of this weekend, he could be destined to miss their next game.

There hasn’t been a lot of information given regarding Amendola’s injury or the severity of it though.

Cornerback Aqib Talib is trying to bounce back from a hip flexor injury. It isn’t thought to be serious, despite Talib’s history with hip tendon injuries. The consensus seems to be that Talib will just a game or two. That will be a big loss for the Patriots defense. Talib has been one of the league’s best defenders.
